This is less about beautiful painting and more about defining a design early on. It may become part of a bigger action environment painting at a later date. This is the night view but there are a few iterations with the bike in various shades of white and with different backgrounds. This one was perhaps the most exciting.

This design stemmed from an earlier bike sketch where I was after a more organic looking motorbike, moving away from the conventional and more towards a symbiotic, living machine that is aware of it's environment and breathes it's atmosphere. It can heal itself if in minor crashes, but more importantly it senses danger and avoids them with intelligent nanopilots and defensive riding.

The bike retains a small hydro power source for starting but once going charges through it's powerful induction tendrils which hang from the bike to the ground and conduct the earth's heat, converting into energy.

The Cuttlebone can be ridden in two postitions - legs folded up alongside as shown or down in the conventional postition. Navigation and stats for the rider are viewed through the front panel surrounding the rider's head..
